Sectional Aeronautical Chart/Map

What you see here is what every pilot relies on when flying. This is called an "Aeronautical Chart/Map"
This map displays information about an area the pilot is flying over or near, information a pilot would need to know, and leaves out specific details about the ground and such that a pilot has no concern for.
Some things you might see are:
The magenta circle that represents the control area of an active air traffic control tower, an inactive control towers has a different color
There is a compass reading on the map to help pilots plot and view coordinates
There are natural and man-made structures for a pilot to take note of while navigating the area
