KUTB MINAR
Karthik : ohk.. fine.. lets get started .. who built the qutb minar ?
who won in war b/w porus and alexander ?
Jayanti : prithviraj chauhan
Anusha : Qutb-u'd-Din Aibak laid the foundation for Qutb Minar
Karthik: mainstream academic circles say tht qutb minar was built by qutb ud din aibak.. and porus lost to alexander.. in the battle .. both of which are wrong..
Anusha :but here
it is given the same
as qutb ud din aibak
Jayanti : Qutb minar was buit by prithviraj chauhan for her wife for some religious ceremony
Karthik : nope qutb minar was existent much before his rrival in india.. as reg to wikipedia its just a compliation .. of the words cooked up by the mainstrea media..
Jayanti: it was not completed
Anusha : Inspired by the Minaret of Jam in Afghanistan and wishing to surpass it, Qutb-ud-din Aibak, the first Muslim ruler of Delhi, commenced construction of the Qutub Minar in 1193
Jayanti : some battle took place btw prithivi n moghuls
Anusha : yeah
Qutb-ud-din Aibak won Delhi from the Prithviraj under Muhammad Ghori as his commander in chief
Jayanti : bcz prithvi lost this war
somthng like this is actual stry behind qutbminar
Karthik: whatever you find in the books are by mainstream media and are not authentic..
Anusha : The minar was said to have been built to celebrate the victory of Mohammed Ghori, the invader from Afghanistan, over the Rajputs in 1192.
okay so everything which is found in net or in books is not authentic???
Sreepriya : the only way to be sure about that is to read extensively
Anusha : wat r ur views Sreepriya?
Sreepriya : but still all sources cannot be completely accurate or inaccurate
Karthik: nope it was in place before the advent of mughals .. by the way the minaret of islam is always plain not ornate like that of hinuds.. yes majority of the info present on the main academic circles is 99.99% fraud... as reg to the originals i can send you the books reg the same..
Anusha: the same thing was said even abt Taj Mahal right?
Karthik: yup..
lot of inconsistencies... damn the main strean guys... all cooked up.. they are pretty much screwed up reg everything..
Sreepriya : is it just the view of the media on history dat u rnt sure of?? or about d present too?
Karthik : according to surveys tat architecture belongs to rajputs not moghuls
Sreepriya : u mean the domes and the minarets?
Karthik : all past and present is pretty much cooked up... as reg to the porus vs alexander.. there is strong possibilty of porus winnning over alexander not otherwise..
Karthik: dome of the taj mahal is like the inverted coconut put on a kalasha.. also the the tomb points towards the sun not mecca / madina ..
Anusha : yeah everything is discussed in some videos which are put on Youtube
Dr TPS: what is the old.. name / who originaly build quatab minar ? bharatheeya king?
Sreepriya : correct me if im wrong..
but only prayer niches r required to b pointed to mecca
Jayanti : prithviraj
m i ryt?
Sreepriya : what do u say sir?
about the origins of taj?
Karthik : i dunno abt that .. but it was for sure a hiindu monument and def not a moslem one..
even the the tombs are supposed to be pointed towards the mecca/madina..
Sreepriya : how can u be sure?
Anusha : hmm Old name ?? Nothing is found in this regard
Karthik : of what taj mahal / qutb minar??
Anusha : Hey Karthik how can u be so sure?
that those are Hindu Monuments
Sreepriya : xactly my point anu!
Anusha : by just watching some videos in which they exaggerate and show
?
look at this
this is a comprehensive study
which compares both architectural styles
Karthik : indo sarcenic architecture is a myth.. y don moslems have any worthwhile books on the same like we have??
Sreepriya :the points to be noted in that article are
The Hindu style or ornamentation is largely naturalistic showing human and animal forms and the luxuriant vegetation life. As among the Muslims the representation of living beings was taboo by way of decoration or ornamentation, they introduced geometrical and arabesque patterns, ornamental writing and formal representation of plant and floral life
Karthik : i mean you said it mam .. they consider the ornamentation itslef as a big tabooo... how come taj mahal has such an exuberance ot it?
Anusha : according to the article
As the entire work was carried out by native Indian craftsmen, the ornamentation of the screens show typical Hindu decorative floral elements, serpentine tendrils and undulating leaves.
Karthik : nice cover up .. ant ways wait till i mail you reg the same .. it will get delayed a bit..
Dr TPS : these discussions are so valuable.. u r loosing all these .. what is the way to get this to in the archieve. for future reference..please..
Anusha : The only new element that was introduced by the Muslims is the Arabic inscription.
Anusha : These monuments were built with the materials obtained after demolishing the Hindu monuments good info..
Sreepriya : plz be wary of sm of d info
by d way
it is mentioned dat d first mosque of india is

Karthik : @dr.tps sir... my family name - kamarthi is a very good one..
Dr TPS : kamarthi means extra desire !!
kaamam is desire.. aarthi means again desire..
ardhi .. the one who gives / satisfies..
thus devi / god / goddess is called kamardhi.
aarthi and ardhi are different..
but i know this is a normal name around.. i jjust want to pock.. Karthik : no sir false.. kama is the desire.... "desire" for dharmacharana.."desire" for gross and spiritual artha ( meaning weaalth and spiritual knowledge ) "desire " for moksha.. kamaarthi is the one who desires for such kama.. which leads to chaturvidha purushaartha .. how come is it bad sir when that is being the case..
Dr TPS :not at all..
kama is the ways of life.
with out that the world will not progress..
dear..
it is just make people to think in that diorection.. i pocked u !! ways of learning is to question !! Karthik : agreed with you sir.. Anusha :yup...
Dr TPS : dheeshanaa saali..
Karthik : but even which i said is correct sir .. kama is the pivot of all the other purushaarthas.
Dr TPS : yes..
Anusha : dheeshanaa saali.??
Dr TPS : artha/dharma/moksha are only when kama exists..
dheeshana means inquisitive saali means one who owns it !! Anusha : yup got it
The iron pillar of Delhi, India, is a 7 m (23 ft) high pillar in the Qutb complex, notable for the composition of the metals used in its construction.
The pillar, which weighs more than six tons, is said to have been fashioned at the time of Chandragupta Vikramaditya (375–413),[1] though other authorities give dates as early as 912 BCE.[2] The pillar initially stood in the centre of a Jain temple complex housing twenty-seven temples that were destroyed by Qutb-ud-din Aybak, and their material was used in building theQutub Minar and Quwwat-ul-Islam mosque.[3] The pillar and ruins of the temple stand all around[clarification needed] the Qutb complex today. The pillar is 98% pure wrought iron, and is a testament to the skill of ancient Indian blacksmiths. It has attracted the attention of both archaeologists and metallurgists, as it has withstood corrosion for over 1,600 years in the open air.[4]
The name of the city of Delhi is thought to be based on a legend associated with the pillar (see History of Delhi).
Between 1727 and 1734 Maharajah Jai Singh II of Jaipur constructed five astronomical observatories in west central India. The observatories, or "Jantar Mantars" as they are commonly known, incorporate multiple buildings of unique form, each with a specialized function for astronomical measurement. These structures with their striking combinations of geometric forms at large scale, have captivated the attention of architects, artists, and art historians world wide, yet remain largely unknown to the general public.
